Joseph D. Shull's Obituary
Joseph D. Shull, 80, of Upper Deerfield TWP., passed away suddenly at his home on the evening of April 26, 2026. He was born June 30, 1945 to the late Margaret (Peggy) Rogers Shull and Ralph Shull Sr. and the longtime beloved husband of Emma (Ward) Shull.
Joe was a proud graduate of the Bridgeton High Class of 1965. He went on to work in the Mold Repair Shop at the Bridgeton Owens- Illiniois Glass Plant Manufacturing Plant for 19 years until their untimely closing. He would then go on to become a Buildings and Grounds Supervisor for the Bridgeton Board of Education for an additional 19 years before his eventual retirement. Outside of career, he enjoyed working on projects in and around his home and spending time with his beloved wife and sharing their love for animals. Together they shared almost 59 years and countless special times and memories with family and friends and were able to enjoy traveling to special places. Most importantly they shared a loving home and time with their very special felines and canines.
Joseph leaves his memory to be cherished by his wife Emma Ward Shull, a niece Susan Lewis, nephews David and J.P. Austin, Jim and Bob Lewis, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews amongst a host of additional extended family and friends.
Joe was predeceased by his late parents Margaret (Peggy) and Ralph Shull Sr,, siblings Harold and Jim Lewis, Eleanor Lewis Austin and their respective spouses, nephew Kenneth Austin, and mother and father in-law Verna and Charles Ward.
