Joseph F. McQuilkin's Obituary
Joseph F. McQuilkin aged 75 years of Upper Deerfield Twp., passed away after an extended illness on Wednesday evening September 6, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Belcoville, NJ.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Robert G. and Luella (nee Carson) Woodward. He had been an area resident for several years.
Joe had worked for several companies including Inscon Cable, Manhattan Cable, Martin Dye and Finishing, Bridgeton Dye and Finishing, Dean’s Cesspool, and lastly General Cable in Vineland where he was a supervisor until his retirement in 2000. He loved fishing, hunting, and cooking, especially breakfasts, and during deer week with the boys. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles when he was younger, but he especially loved his family and close friends.
He leaves to cherish, his four daughters: Thresa Strickland of Egg Harbor Twp., Mary Lou Ellis of Belcoville, Jo Marie Davis of Egg Harbor Twp., and Charisma Ward of Annapolis MD, a brother, John Woodward of Fairfield Twp., nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, his long time companion, Sandy McQuilkin, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers: Robert McQuilkin and Richard McQuilkin.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday September 12, 2017 12:00 PM from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. Interment will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 11:00a.m. till 12:00p.m. prior to the services.
