John W. Robinson Sr.'s Obituary
John W. Robinson Sr. 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 21, 2017 at home. He was the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Laura (nee Dixon) Robinson and was born April 11, 1950 in Bridgeton. He was the husband of Mary C. Robinson (Sheppard) his loving wife and companion for 25 years. John was a resident of Hopewell Township where he lived all his life.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed for 20 years with Woodruff Energy and prior to that he had worked for Agway as a contract hauler of fuel oil. In his early years, he had also worked for Townsend Oil Company. John took a lot of pride in his mancave where he enjoyed cooking and canning. The highlight of his Sunday’s were morning coffee get togethers with his friends. He always had a beautiful garden and loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting before he took ill. John was a fixer of all things and enjoyed tinkering in his garage. He is survived in addition to his wife Mary, by his son, John W. Robinson Jr., and daughter Rachelle Robinson (Jesse Thomas), three step sons, Philip Sheppard (Dannon), Mark Sheppard (Hester) and Derrick Sheppard Sr., six grandchildren, and six step grandchildren, one great granddaughter and his beloved dog Sheba. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Robinson Jr., and Clarence Robinson. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday February 24, 2017 at 11:00a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received from 9:00 to 11:00a.m. prior to the services. The interment will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp.
