John L. Coward, Jr.'s Obituary
John L. ?Jack? Coward Jr. 79, of Fairfield Twsp. died early Wednesday evening June 21, 2006 in the South Jersey Regional Medical Center Vineland. He had been in failing health for the past several months, and had previously been a patient in Cumberland County Manor.
Born in Greenwich Twsp. the son of the late John L. Coward Sr. and Anna nee Pierce Coward, he was the wife of Charlotte M. nee Mosley Coward. Mr. Coward had been a resident of Fairfield Twsp. for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and had worked for 40 years has a Pest Control Exterminator for Chesser and Sons Extermination in Bridgeton. He was a ham radio and CB enthusiast and loved working in his garden and manicuring his lawn.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, and three sons John A. Coward Sr. and his wife Doris, Walter Kenneth Coward and his wife Dorothy, and Stephen Coward and Linda, one daughter Barbara L. Wright and her husband Craig, two sisters, Velma Coombs, and Alice Carney, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Warren Coward, one brother Henry Charles Coward, three sisters Francis Sammons, Grace Durham, and Minnie Coombs, and two grandchildren Patricia Pagano and Wanda Sansalone.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The interment will take place in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twsp. At the family?s request there will be no public viewing
