Johanan Keith Evans' Obituary
Affectionately known to family and friends as “Keith”, was born in Jersey City to John and LaVerne Evans. He is survived by devoted friend Jackie Dowson of Millville. 7 children,
4 great grandchildren, 7 sisters, 9 brothers, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He attended Bridgeton High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. He was small in stature, but the coaches were amazed at his strength. After high school, his father took him under his wing, and he worked in their TV repair shop in town and he also learned much from him in the carpentry and general contracting field. Being self-employed Keith continued as a jack of all trades with his own entrepreneurship and just like his teacher, has come to be known by all for his exceptional workmanship.
He cherished the time he spent with family and It was always a pleasure to be around Keith because he always had a positive attitude and a kind word that came along with a big smile and an infectious laugh that could ease any pain. His generosity and willingness to help in any way is an understatement to say the least. Whenever a helping hand was needed no job was too big or too small because for him -
Whether he was Good, Tired or Hurt, what would he say?
“Watch my work.”
There are many extraordinary people we meet in our lifetimes, but Keith was that little extra that turned ordinary into extraordinary. He will be truly missed by family friends and all who knew him.
