Jerry M Warner transitioned Thursday, October 10, 2024 surrounded at home by his loved ones.
Birth:
Jerry, the son of the late Johnny Warner and Lillian (Brown-Martin) was born on May 23, 1953, in Pompano Beach, Florida. In the late fifties his family moved to Cumberland County, which became his lifelong residence. He is the seventh of eight children. Jerry attended elementary school in Stow Creek, later Bridgeton public school system where he graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1973.
Marriage:
In 1970, Jerry met the love of his life, Paula Goldsboro. In 1973 Jerry made Paula his wife and lifelong partner. Together they have two daughters, Adrienne, and Jeri Lynn and two granddaughters Blair and Miliani.
Work:
After graduation he worked at Wheaton Glass company as an IS Machine operator for 11 years. Jerry then went to work for R&T Castellini Construction Company. In 1987 he went to work for South State Construction as a laborer. After only 3 years he became the Asphalt plant operator and remained as such until he retired in March of 2013.
Masonic Journey:
In March of 2009 Jerry became a Master Mason in lonic Lodge #40 Bridgeton, New Jersey, where he held the seat as worshipful Master from 2012 to 2014. He did not stop there, 2010 proved to be a remarkably busy year for Jerry. He joined DeHugo Consistory #2, Camden, New Jersey, where he became a 32° Mason. He served as Commander in Chief, Holy Royal Arch Mason, and Treasurer. In 2010, Jerry became a member of lonic Chapter #15 Order of the Eastern Star where he served four terms as Worthy Patron. In 2012-2014 under the leadership of the Grand Worthy Matron Janice E. Justice and Grand Worthy Patron Cecil Allen Jr., he became Grand District Lecturer serving in that capacity under five administrations until 2023. In May of 2016, Jerry completed his Masonic achievements by becoming a 33° Mason in Dr Solomon Wallace Class.
Salvation:
Jerry belongs to Trinity AME Church in Gouldtown, New Jersey and his favorite scripture is Psalm 23. He truly enjoys helping others that need assistance in any way. In his words "I can't fix everything, but I will try."
He would always thank GOD who is first in his life and then he thanks his wife Paula and their family for all the help and support that they provided him.
Mourning:
Jerry leaves to celebrate his legacy, his beloved and devoted wife of fifty years Paula, his two daughters, Adrienne, and Jeri Lynn, and two granddaughters, Blair, and Miliani.

Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, his beloved church family and Masonic family
Predeceased:
His father Johnny Warner, his mother Lillian Brown-Martin, Mother-in-law Gladys Goldsboro, Sister Dorothy Bryant, brother's James and Casey Martin, sister-in-law Elizabeth (Sissy) Thompson, brother-in-law Hartley Purnell, Sr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19 at the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Bridgeton, NJ. Friends & Family may attend a visitation period from 9-11AM with a Masonic service from 11:00 -11:30 and traditional service following at 11:30 before he is laid to rest at the Fernwood Memorial Park.
