Jerry Thomas Mink's Obituary
Jerry Thomas Mink aged 83 years, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Tuesday morning January 23, 2018 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born August 25, 1934, Jerry was the son of the late Stephen and Ethel Mink Morris, and the husband of Vera (nee Trusty) Mink, and father of Steven Eric Mink.
Jerry was a graduate of Bridgeton High School, and the Apex School of Beauty Culture in Philadelphia, PA. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps for four years and was honorably discharged attaining the rank of Sergeant. He established his own business and for nearly 50 years flourished as JV’s Beauty Salon located at 32 North Laurel St. in Bridgeton. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bridgeton where he served as a Deacon, Youth Leader, Trustee and Church Moderator. Jerry was totally committed to the cause wherever he served. He was active in the city and community affairs, and he was a Gideon.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years Vera, his son Steven Eric Mink and wife Edna, a granddaughter Erica Mink, great granddaughter Alisha Joy Mink, sister in laws Marie Trusty, Naomi Morris, his brother in law Joe Burks, and several nieces, nephews, cousins prayer partners and friends. He was predeceased by a sister Helen Williams, and brother Stephen Morris.
