Born in Bridgeton, NJ he is predeceased by his father John I. Evans, his mother LaVerne Evans, and a sister Paula Evans McCall. He is survived by his children two sons, Jeffrey L. Evans Jr., and Javon, five daughters Jatavia, Jasmine, Jaquetta, Jada, and Janae.
