Janet M Street's Obituary
Janet M Street, of Fairfield Twp., passed away with her family by her side on Sunday evening September 8, 2024 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. She was 82 years old.
Born in Bridgeton July 22,1942, she was the daughter of the late Thelma (Sammons) Pierce and Otis W. Sammons whom she called her "Daddy" all of her life. She was the wife of the late Arnold Street who passed at a young age and the longtime companion of the late Alexander P Pierce who passed in 2011 and was the father of her two sons.
Janet was employed as a School Bus Driver for over 40 years working for Sheppard Bus Service, Coast Cities, and Laidlaw Transit. It was a job she took much pride in and enjoyed each day. She was a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Nation of Bridgeton. Janet enjoyed embroidery and crocheting beautiful pieces for family and friends. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
Surviving her to cherish her memory are her two sons and their spouses: Vernon W. Pierce and Jeanna of Fairfield Twp., Alexander P Street and Kelli of Millville, her grandchildren: Katelynn, Allysin, Joseph, Malarie, and Jerome, and three great grandchildren: Alayna, Dominic and Bentley.
Besides her parents, first husband and companion, she was predeceased by her oldest grandson, Jerrith R. Oakgrove.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday September 14, 2024 at 1;00 p m from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME , 62 Landis Ave at Carll's Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A viewing will be held from 11:30 am - 1:00 p m at the funeral home. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
