Jane Yuriko Hanaoka's Obituary
Jane Yuriko Hanaoka, 99, of Pittsgrove Twp. passed away peacefully early Saturday morning October 24, 2020 in Inspira Medical Center, Elmer, where she had been a patient for one day.
Jane was born June 2, 1921 in Stockton, California to the late Roy Minetaro and Shin Kaneko Komura, and she was the wife of the late Katsumi Hanaoka. She had been a resident of the Pittsgrove Township area for over 70 years.
Jane was formerly employed as a Quality Control Specialist with Seabrook Farms for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church in Upper Deerfield. She loved to read, especially her Bible; her faith was very important to her. She also cherished time with her family, and she loved her grandchildren very much.
She is survived by her children, Susan Masatani and her husband Koji of Pittsgrove Twp., Judy Omura and her husband Kaz also of Pittsgrove Twp., Donna Cossaboon and her husband Dave of Conifer, Colorado, Mark Hanaoka and his wife Laura of Pensacola, Florida, Christine Sparks and her husband Todd of Vineland, Daughter in law, Cathy Hanaoka, thirteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband Katsumi, she was predeceased by two sons, Perry Hanaoka and Philip Hanaoka.
At the family’s request, graveside funeral services will be held privately in Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Jane be made in care of Bethel Baptist Church, 131 Love Lane, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
