I remember talking to her often after the prayer circle at the tribal grounds in Fairton. She was always a cheerful person and very kind. She was an inspiration with her singing the songs she loved. I appreciated her discussions. I once wrote a get well letter to her when I missed seeing her at prayer circle. She will bless those she meets along her way.
I will always remember the kind heart of Ivanette as a loyal and dedicated employee of Deerfield Township School while I was the administrator. She respected all students and staff and could always be counted upon to have a cheerful smile or comment to all who came in contact with her. Dave Hitchner
Our hearts were grieved when we heard that Ivanette “Whispering Wind” Pierce had walked on. Ivanette was an inspiration. Her testimony of faith was uplifting. Her singing the praises of Jesus Christ blessed our worship services and prayer meetings. Her smile and encouraging words brought joy to all who met her. The relationship between Ivanette and the love of her life, Luther, was beautiful to behold. She was a wonderful representative of her tribal heritage and a true example of faith in Jesus Christ.

I will always remember her when I was searching for truth concerning my heritage.
She came down from the platform one day after she sang at one of the services and we introduced ourselves to each other and she basicly knew who my people were more than I did.
After a few years and not having seen her I went back to a powwow and she said to me, " I didn't know whether I would ever see you again", so today I say to the family that God got this and His strength will be made perfect during this time.
I already miss her and the questions I would have asked her at our next meeting.

Her sweet smile and warm hugs always blessed my heart and soul! Her joy and Love for the Lord was so easy to see. For me, one of the high points of Pow Wow is always the Sunday Morning Worship and listening to Ivanette sing with such joy and praise to the Lord has been such an important part of that experience... she will indeed be sorely missed by all!
I am so thankful for the moments we shared!
