Irvin "Butch" M Durham's Obituary
Irvin “Butch” M Durham, 75, son of the late Irvin and Ellen (Johnson) Durham, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Irvin was born in Bridgeton and was a life long area resident. He was known locally as a go-to transmission mechanic by trade, but hot rods and drag racing were truly his passion, specifically antique Chevy's and Studebaker’s. He loved spending quality time with family and was truly a caring man, one who would give everything he had to his family and pets. It was this love that earned him the nickname “Cat Daddy” amongst family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his spouse Beverly Sedeyn, eight children, Louise Durham Johnson (Mike), Christina Sedeyn Harris (Leroy), Wendy Durham Allen (Freddie), Irvin Sedeyn (Mandy), Irvin Durham (Nicole), Jennifer Durham, Sarah Sedeyn (Ty), Lisa Durham and George Dunkle (Sharon), five sisters, Ellen Durham, Noa Brooks, Lindy Brown, Kathleen Hannah, and Marie Bailey, and 24 grandchildren and two more great grandchildren amongst a host of other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers Brucie and Jeffrey Durham, and three sisters Rebecca Rivera, Cecelia Stewart, and Joyce Durham.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 30 at the Sray- Webster Funeral Home in Bridgeton, NJ where family and friends will have the opportunity to attend a visitation period from 10AM-12PM with funeral services and interment following at the Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell.
