Henry "Shorty" Loatman Jr.'s Obituary
Henry "Shorty" Loatman, Jr. 69, of Hopewell Township passed away on Thursday, March 26 at home after being seriously ill and hospitalized the past two months.
Born in Bridgeton, NJ. he was the only child born to the late Henry Loatman, Sr. and Linda (Pierce) Loatman, and the husband of Sherry (Corney) Loatman.
Henry attended Hopewell Township School and Bridgeton High School graduating with the class of 1963. He was a well known mechanic in the area. Previously he worked for some years for Don Rogers, Inc and ultimately owned and operated his own business known as Henry's Auto in Hopewell Township until his retirement. Henry enjoyed fishing, boating. hunting, gardening, and listening to country music. He was an NRA member and an auctioneer.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are three step-daughters, two step-sons, two step-grandsons, three step-granddaughters and many other family members and friends.
At Henry's request, there will be no public service. Burial will be private in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. A memorial service is being planned for a later date for Henry and Sherry's family and friends.
