Henry G. Brown's Obituary
Henry G. Brown 89, of Fairfield Twp. went home on Monday, March 11, 2013 at his daughter’s residence, due to a brief illness.
Hank as he was also known, was born in Bridgeton on November 8, 1923 to the late Elwell Brown and Lola Mosley Brown. He was the husband of the late Rosella (Sis) Brown. He had resided at his present address since 1962.
Hank was a World War II Veteran of the US Army and a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Indians of New Jersey. He had worked for several years until their closing for Caroll J. Riley Hardware store in Bridgeton, he also enjoyed working on small engines and lawnmowers in his spare time.
Hank leaves to cherish in his memory, his son Roney “Sonny” H. Brown and his wife Pearl, his daughter Lola “Peanut” M. Willis and her husband Herbert all of Gouldtown, his four grandchildren Rhonda Pierce (Les) of Gouldtown, Henry S. Brown (Paula) of Fairton, Devin L. Brown (Alison) of Vineland and Herbert N. Willis Jr. (Jessica) of Bridgeton, six great grandchildren Marques S. Brown, Isaiah E. Pierce, Desmarai Brown, Devin L. Brown Jr., Kiara Brown and soon to be Ysabella Willis, his one sister Eleanor Webster and her husband Gerald of Bridgeton, and a host of nieces, nephews and a number of various relatives and friends.
He was predeceased besides his parents and wife by three brothers Alfred Brown, Siola (Scholar) Brown, Herb Ridgeway, and three sisters Elizabeth Ridgeway, Belulah Oliver, and Jennie Wynder. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
