Henrietta Walker's Obituary
Henrietta Walker of Bridgeton passed away suddenly and unexpected on Thursday morning January 11, 2024 in Medstar Franklin Square Hospital, Baltimore, MD. She was 80 years old. Born in Gaffney, South Carolina March 23, 1943, she was the daughter of Mattie Smith and the late Wilson Reid, and the wife of the late Oliver Walker who passed away in 2009. Henrietta was an area resident for the past 73 years after moving up from the Gaffney South. She found employment as a packer at Wheaton Tubing Glass from 1968 till 1997 prior to its closing. She then worked at varies glass factories unit her retirement. Henrietta enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her only child, daughter, Donna Walker, two sisters, Lucille Dawkins and Vivian Johnson, and two sisters-in-laws, Margaret Purvis and Cheryl Brown, and one brother-in-law Roger Deveaux and a host of nieces, nephews, and various other relatives. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00a.m. at the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave., Carll's Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. Interment will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. A visitation will be held from 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. prior to the services.
