Henrietta E. Workman's Obituary
Henrietta E. Workman 95, of Pittsgrove and formerly of Upper Deerfield Twp. died early Saturday morning March 26, 2011 in Eagleview Nursing Center, Pittsgrove, NJ, where she had been a resident for the past several years.
Born in North Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Edward Alonzo Chambers and Emma Westcott nee Ware Chambers, and the wife of the late Ralph F. Workman who passed away in 2008. Henrietta had worked for Woodruff Coal and Oil Co. for many years as a Cashier and Secretary. She was a member for the past 50 years of Woodruff United Methodist Church, where she had served as President of the Woman's Missionary Society, and was once the Superintendent of the Sunday School Nursery. She was also a former member of the Eastern Stars. She loved her church, and she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nieces who were her caregivers. She is survived by her brother in law Ken Workman and his wife Eunice of Vineland, one sister in law Jeanette Love of Vineland, her caregiving nieces, Linda Hamrick, Donna Haldeman, Denise Workman, all of Vineland , Marion Carll of Hopewell Twp., and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased besides her parents and husband Ralph, by two sisters.
