Harry E. Pierce's Obituary
Harry E. Pierce, aged 80 years of Fairfield Twp., passed away Thursday afternoon October 19, 2017 at his home. Although he had been in declining health, his death was sudden and unexpected.
Born and raised at his residence, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Sarah Pierce, and the husband of Ruth Ann Durham Pierce. Harry had lived at the same property all of his life.
He was previously employed with Salem Pipe and Iron in Bridgeton, B+B Poultry in Vineland , several nurseries in the area, and lastly with Seabrook Bros. Farms in Upper Deerfield Twp. He loved working on old antique cars and enjoyed going deer hunting; he especially enjoyed his afternoon sits with the boys at Fairfield Motors where he was known as “Cousin Harry”.
Harry is survived by his wife Ruth Ann, his three sisters: Estella Lloyd, Jeanette Brown, and Caroline Pierce, his brother Peter Lloyd, and several nieces, nephews, and several cousins. He was predeceased besides his parents by a brother, Daniel Pierce, and sister, Velma Brown.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday October 27, 2017 at 11:00a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A viewing will be held from 10:00a.m. till 11:00 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp.
