Harold E. Gross, Sr.'s Obituary
Harold E. Gross Sr., 68 of Salem, NJ died Thursday morning October 26, 2006 in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland.
Born in Salem, he was the son of Henrietta Price Gross and the late Oakford Gross Sr., and the husband of the late Priscilla Gross.
Harold was formerly employed with Owens Illinois in Bridgeton for many years until his retirement. After retiring he worked for the Quinton and Mannington School systems as a custodian. He was a member of the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church in Salem where he served in various positions in the church including the choir. He also was a member of the Salem Community Men?s Choir.
Surviving besides his mother are four sons Harold Gross Jr. of Fairfield Twsp., Wade Gross of Bridgeton, Ian Gross of Fairfield Twsp., and Lewis Gross of Bridgeton, two daughters Crystal Gould of Bridgeton, and Vehodice Gross, of Fairfield Twsp., one brother Lewis E. Gross of Lompoc, California, two sisters Bernice Gross Parker of Salem, and Blanche Gross Woods of Salem, sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased besides his wife and father by one brother Oakford Gross Jr., and one sister Doris Gross Lewis.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Broadway and Elm Sts. Salem. The interment will be in Fordville Memorial Park, Fairfield Twsp.
Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
