I had the honor of working with Ms. Glory over 30 yrs ago. I was a teenager in high school and I had honor of working with Ms. Gloria. She was very kind. She always smiled and worked very hard. Ms. Gloria endured and worked through the prejudice and condescending remarks made toward her because of her Columbian accent and pronunciation of English words. Coming from a household with a Cuban parent going through the same thing, I understood what she was going through. I had the pleasure of translating for her and told everyone to treat Ms. Gloria with respect. It was a joy seeing Ms. Gloria at work. We became good friends. we met each other's family and she embraced them with the welcoming heart. Ms. Gloria talked about her life experiences and family. I was so amazed and honored to hear all things she was talk about. Ms. Gloria was full of love, compassion integrity and such a beautiful person. She loved her family and people in general. I didn't get the opportunity to see her again to tell her Thank you and I loved her for taking time out to share her good heart and kind words to me.
