Gilbert C. Bard, Jr.'s Obituary
Gilbert C. Bard Jr. aged 56 years of Fairfield Twp. passed away on Tuesday July 12, 2016 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Although he had been in declining health, his death was unexpected.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Gilbert C. and Pauline (nee Custis) Bard, and the husband of Donna (nee Dunkins) Bard. Gilbert was a graduate of Cumberland Regional High School with the class of 1979. He was employed for 22 years as a Cement Truck Driver for the former Vineland Transit Mix Co, now R E Pierson Company and previously worked for the Pep Boys in Vineland. He loved working on cars and motorcycles and enjoyed watching and attending car and motorcycle races. Gilbert was also a Dallas Cowboys football fan. He was a long time member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Port Norris where he served as a Deacon and in the Sound Room Ministry. He loved his family, church family and many friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna, of 32 years; his son, Gilbert C. Bard III; his eight Godchildren, and many friends, relatives and extended family. He was predeceased besides his parents, by his brother, Gordon L. Bard. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday July 18, 2016 12 p.m. from the Shiloh Baptist Church, 2411 Memorial Ave., Port Norris, NJ; visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. till 12:00p.m. at the church. The interment will be in Gouldtown Memorial Park, Fairfield Twp.
