Geraldine Amelia Lane Dickson's Obituary
Geraldine Amelia Lane Dickson went to rest peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Cumberland Manor, Bridgeton NJ at the age of 87. She had been a resident of the Manor since 2008.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 13, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Thomas C. Lane III and Helen Viola Loper Lane, and the widow of the late Zane Dickson of Phoenix, Arizona, and the brother of retired superintendent of Bridgeton Public Schools, Thomas C. Lane IV. Mrs. Dickson was a graduate of Tredyffrin-Easttown High School in Berwyn, Pennsyslvania and the Cheyney University in Pennsylvania. She taught primary grades for thirty six years in Phoenix, Arizona, until her retirement. Survivors include her brother Thomas C. Lane IV and his wife Cordelia, three nieces, her namesake Geraldine Lane of Shiloh, NJ, Audrey Gidney of Wilmington, DE, Dr. Crystal Lane-Tillerson of Newport News, VA, and Dr. Sharon Lane-Getaz of Minneapolis, MN, two nephews Thomas C. Lane, V of Marlton, NJ and Frank Lane of Washington, DC, the Sparrow family cousins and extended family and friends.
