Georgette Wright's Obituary
Georgette Wright 81, of Deerfield Twp. went home to be with the Lord early Friday morning January 22, 2010 while a patient at South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland.
Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Clara nee Pierce Wynder and the wife of Benjamin F. Wright Sr.. Mr. and Mrs. Wright have been long time residents of the Deerfield area. Georgette was formerly employed with several sewing factories in the area including M.C. Schrank and Val Mode and was last employed with Cumberland Regional High School as a cafeteria worker, a job she loved. She was an active long time member of Trinity A.M.E. Church, Gould town, where she served on the Missionary Society, was a former Sunday School Teacher, former choir member, sat on the Kitchen Committee and worked with the church Food Bank. She was also a former member of the Gouldtown Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, sewing , and she especially loved traveling with Ben. She and her family had just returned in December from a trip to Disney World in Florida. She was well known for always having a big friendly smile. Surviving her to cherish her memory is her husband Benjamin , her daughter Virginia L. Dean and her husband Bradley of Deerfield Twp., Benjamin F. Wright Jr. and his wife Toni of Fairfield Twp., one sister Abbie Goldsborough and her husband Larry of Hopewell Twp., 8 grandchildren Jai Wright, Benjamin K. Wright, Michael Willingham, Erika Colson, William Dean II, Melanie Anekwa, Mark Smith, and Bradley Smith, 4 great grandchildren Jaida Wright, Christopher Colson, Isaiah Colson, Kalila Anekwa, and several nieces, nephews, various relatives and many friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter Antoinette Willingham in 1989, one brother Edward O. Wynder, and two sisters Mary Conaway, and Anna Munson.
