George A "Jake" Williams' Obituary
George A “Jake” Williams, of Alloway Twp, passed away on Sunday evening May 5, 2024, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was 81 years old.
Jake was born June 7, 1942 in Greenwich, NJ to the late George A Jr. and Edith (Loatman) Williams, and was the long time companion of Eugenie “Genie” DeCou.
Jake was a long time area resident, and had also lived for several years in Florida. He worked most of his life as a Truck Driver, most recently for Pipco Transportation and F+S Food Service, and even briefly practiced real estate on the side. He proudly served in the United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged. He developed a passion at an early age for Hot Rods, Historic Cars, Motorcycles, and was currently building an S10 Chevy pickup truck. He enjoyed fishing, but his first love was family. He enjoyed the many picnics, and holiday outings with his children, grandchildren and brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his companion Genie, his children (Danel, Heather, Denise, George, and Jeff) his siblings (Roland Williams and wife Darlene, Cheryl Smith, Pauline Benjamin, Patricia Christiansen, and lastly Bruce Williams and Karen) His fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step mother Elaine Marie Williams in 2022. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to honor Jake’s life, Saturday May 25th from 12-2PM, at the Sray- Webster Funeral Home located at 62 Landis Ave. Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
