George A. Bosco's Obituary
George A. Bosco, of Fairfield Twp. passed away Friday morning December 30, 2022 at his home under the care of Hospice, with his family by his side. Although he had been in declining health, his death was sudden and unexpected. Born in Bridgeton he was the son of the late Santino and Beulah Melissa (Clark) Bosco, and the husband of Linda (Hand) Bosco. He had been a lifelong resident of the area.
George, lovingly known as Burchum or Lou, as he was often called by his wife, graduated with the Bridgeton High School class of 1974 and immediately began his career with Mannington Mills where he worked as a Manager until his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed working on automobiles and proudly restored his 1969 Camaro. For the past several years he served as the President of the Golden Classics Car Club. He and his wife Linda enjoyed their many cruises and vacations shared together, with their last adventure traveling to Ireland. He also loved bowling and was a longtime member of the 5th Ward.
He is survived by his his wife of 47 years, Linda, and his children; Russell Bosco of Arizona, George A Bosco Jr of Maryland, and Jason Bosco and his wife Kristina (who George enjoyed to bicker with) of Upper Deerfield Twp., a sister, Gloria Kidwell of Tennessee, sister in law, Sheryl Bosco and his pride in joy grandchildren, Brianna, Makayla, Jason Jr., and Luke Bosco. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Santino and Don Bosco.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday January 6, 2023 at 12:00 pm from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 62 Landis Ave. At Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A visitation will be held from 10:00 till 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests donations in honor of George, be made to Gloucester County Hospice Bayada 600 Jessup Rd. Suite 100 A West Deptford, NJ 08066.
