Gary E. Durham's Obituary
Gary E. Durham, 63 of Fairton, NJ, passed away on Monday November 23, 2015 in Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He had been in failing health for the past six months.
Born in Bridgeton and raised in Greenwich, NJ, Gary was the son of Isabel (nee Loatman) Durham and the late Ralph E. Durham and the husband of Darlene (nee Welden) Durham.
Gary was formerly employed with the former Ball Foster Glass in Millville as an Electro Mechanic for 18 years until his retirement on disability. His love of music, especially country music led him to learn to play the guitar, and the steel guitar, the banjo, the harmonica, and the dobro all self taught. Gary played for many years in the tri state area with the Country Rose band; he loved to sing and just had a knack for music in general. He also repaired televisions and computers in his spare time. His greatest love was his family and friends.
Gary is survived by his mother, Isabel Durham of Bridgeton; his wife of 22 years, Darlene of Fairton; his children, Brad Lee Durham and Nikki Durham both of Fairton; one brother, Ralph C. Durham and his wife Jacqueline of Parlin, NJ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday November 28, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp.
