Franklin S Durham Sr.'s Obituary
Franklin S. Durham Sr. 75, of Elmer passed away suddenly Saturday evening January 28, 2012 at the home of his son in Vineland, under SJH Hospice Care. He had been in failing health for only the past two weeks.
Born in Cedarville, he was the son of the late Abijah Gould and the late Gertrude Durham. He had been a resident of the Elmer area for the past 15 years, and had formerly lived in Fairfield Twp. and the Cedarville area. Frank was previously employed with Wheaton Glass Company in Millville for 21 years and later he worked on the Holden Farm in Cedarville, which he enjoyed. He loved going to the casinos, whether it be Delaware, Atlantic City, or Chester, PA, but he especially enjoyed being with his family. He enjoyed a road trip with his son last year to California, where he visited Hollywood. He is survived by his four sons; Franklin Durham Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Eric Durham of Millville, Christopher S. Durham of Vineland, Melvyn Durham also of Los Angeles, his two daughters; Brenda Durham of Bridgeton, and Sherri Durham of Vineland, his long time companion Diane Patterson of Elmer, two brothers Walt Pierce of Cedarville, John Gould of Fairfield Twp., two sisters Pauline DeShields of Carneys Point, and Anna Mae Gould of Bridgeton, his eight grandchildren Tameeka, Erica, Marche, Julian, Tiffany, Shanaira, Brandon, and Kassandra., seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers William Pierce, Kenneth Durham and Abijah Gould, and two sisters Barbara Loatman and Gladys Gould.
