Frank J. Kammerer's Obituary
Frank J. Kammerer, 80, of Fairfield Township passed Monday, June 2, 2025 surrounded by his family. Frank was born June 6, 1944 to the late Violet (Steinbrecker) & Frank J. Kammerer Sr. in Philadelphia, PA. He grew up in Bucks County, PA graduating from Bensalem High School class of 1963, before ultimately deciding to serve his country in the US Army. Back then anyone wanting to find Frank knew to look for him at his family’s business, Whale Creek Marina in Strathmere working, fishing, or out on his boat.
Upon returning from his military service, Frank began his career as a steel fabricator, where he spent many years working for Cornell & Company, INC. of Woodbury. Outside of career, Frank had a passion for Fishing, hunting, and practicing at the gun range. He loved being outside and spending time in nature conservancy. Frank stayed active by his many hobbies along with his volunteer work. He had memberships at several organizations where he loved to spend time including the Millville Elks Lodge, Citizens United, and Bayshore Discovery, which funded projects such as teaching local youth how to operate and build boats. He loved sharing his knowledge with others, especially his grandchildren, teaching them how to fish, hunt, and shoot, and make bird houses. Later in life, he pursued his love of painting, even taking classes to further enhance his natural talent.
Frank leaves his memory to be cherished by his loving wife Shoshana Osofsky, his three children Frank Kammerer Jr. (Daneen) of Pennsylvania, Tracy Cefaratti (Mike) of Woodbury Heights, and Julia Kammerer of West Deptford. Stepdaughters Alice Floyd and Shawna Forbes, grandchildren Jacob, Taylor, Rachel, Rebecca, Dylan, Skyler, and Sophia as well as several great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Frank was predeceased by his late parents Violet (Steinbrecker) & Frank J. Kammerer Sr. and a brother Harold “Tanker” Kammerer.
Shiva will be observed at the family home until Monday, June 9, 2025. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
