Frances Ellis' Obituary
Frances Ellis, of Bridgeton NJ took the Lord's hand & departed this life on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Born in Newington, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Bosey and Justine Kent, and the wife of Eddie D. Ellis.
Frances relocated to New Jersey with her parents in the early 1950's where she attended Bridgeton Public Schools. Frances later continued her education at the vocational school to obtain her certification in nursing assistance. She provided home healthcare to the elderly in the late 1970's to mid 1980's. Frances later began exploring her opportunities in the factory industry where she obtained employment at Hunts, Ritter's, Four Star Poultry, and Seabrook Bros and Sons Inc. until her retirement. During her retirement she began to put her passion in the kitchen where she enjoyed cooking. Frances began catering for birthdays, weddings, company parties, and churches until her illness.
Frances was a member at Revival Fellowship Church in Chester, PA. for several years under the late Pastor Pearlie M. Young until her passing in 2004 which led her to Bethlehem Revival Temple where she has been a faithful and devoted member for more then 20 years under the Rev. Jerome Brown Sr. and Co-Pastor Frankie Mae Brown.

Ellis, 1 daughter Felicia (Patrick) Walker, Perry, GA, 5 sons Jermaine (Yvette) Ellis, Bridgeton, NJ, Michael Ellis, Bridgeton, NJ, Stevie (Cleopatra) Ellis, Vineland, NJ, Tyrone (Awilda) Ellis, Millville, NJ, Kevin (Lillian) Ellis, Vineland, NJ. 4 Brothers Joshua Kent, Bridgeton, NJ, Clifford Kent, Daytona, Fla., Dennis (Betty) Kent, Vineland, NJ, Douglas (Barbara) Kent, Egg Harbor, NJ, 2 sisters Pearl (Mark) Wiley, Fairton, NJ, Mattie Colvin, Vineland, NJ, 1 Goddaughter Chinnise Gross, Vineland, NJ. Special sister Marta Vasquez, Bridgeton, NJ, Spiritual sister Percie Kent, Seabrooks, NJ. 24 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her mother Justine Kent and father Bosey Kent she was predeceased by her brother Jessie "Wen" Kent and Samuel Kent, 2 sisters Ann Kent and Jessie Mae Collins.
