Ernest L. Broughton's Obituary
Ernest Leon Broughton, 70, of Fairfield Twp., passed away suddenly on Thursday February 27, 2014 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born in Accomac, Virginia, he was the son of the late Estee and Evelyn Dennis Broughton, and the husband of Alease Brooks Broughton.
Ernest was employed for 37 years with Wheaton Glass in Millville. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on cars, watching his wrestling and old westerns on television, and listening to Oldies 98.1 radio. He was well loved and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Alease; his children, Vicky Broughton, Jeffery Broughton, Valerie Bolling, Bernice Brooks Hudnall; two step children, Brenda Pierce, and Bertha Brooks; his three sisters, Iris Missy Broughton, Debbie Broughton, Sharlene Johnson; four brothers, Leroy Dennis, Buddy Morris Broughton, Anthony Tyrone Broughton, and Estee Broughton Jr.; 20 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and various relatives.
He was predeceased besides his parents by two children, Richard Turner, and Ernest Turner.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Wesley Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 582 Morton Ave., Rosenhayn, NJ. The interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp.
Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
