Emanuel Sanchez's Obituary
Emanuel "Manny" Sanchez, 63, of Bridgeton went home to be with his Lord and Saviour early Tuesday morning June 30, 2009 in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He had been ill for only a week.
Born in Manhattan, New York he was the son of the late Emanuel and Benilda nee Vasquez Sanchez and the husband of Lydia E. nee Orengo Sanchez. Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez had been Bridgeton residents for the past 27 years.
Manny was employed for 17 years as a truck driver with South Jersey Overhead Door Co. in Vineland until his recent retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Viet Nam. Manny and his wife Lydia were long time members of Emanuel Baptist Church in Vineland. He enjoyed antique cars. He loved his family and church family and was a faithful husband, father and pop pop.
Surviving him besides his wife Lydia, is his son Joshua Sanchez of Bridgeton, three brothers Luis Sanchez of Vineland, Danny Sanchez of Red Band, NJ and Junior Sanchez of Red Bank, three sisters Francis Sanchez Cruz of Fla., Josephine Sanchez of Puerto Rico, and Angie Sanchez of Red Bank. One granddaughter Aslan Sanchez, and nieces and nephews Mario Cruz, Maribel Cruz, Angel Cruz, Victor Cruz and many friends.
