Eleanor Chinnici's Obituary
Eleanor Chinnici of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away Saturday evening July 4, 2020 at her residence, under the care of Heartland Hospice and with her family by her side. She was 101 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, PA October 27, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Filippo and Conchetta Martino D’Agostino. Her siblings were Bob D’Agostino of Texas, Tina Panebianco of Florida, Sam D’Agostino of Rosenhayn, Joe D’Agostino of Bridgeton, and Ricci Italiano of Philadelphia. Eleanor worked for several years until her retirement as a sewing operator at Major Clothing in Bridgeton. She was an excellent cook who loved feeding her family. She was meticulous in anything she did and paid much attention to detail. She was extremely intelligent and loved learning and keeping her mind sharp doing crossword puzzles. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church, Parish of the Holy Cross. Eleanor was a devoted loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved and adored her family. She is survived by her children Angela Passalacqua and her husband Junie of Florida, Dennis P. Chinnicci and his wife Leona of Upper Deerfield Twp., her four grandchildren Amy Nieukirk, Bill Nieukirk and his wife Elizabeth, Dennis A. Chinnici and his wife Amarilis, Danielle Dainton and her husband Gregg: six great grandchildren Elise Sarver and her husband Ryan, Addison Nieukirk, Isabella and Giancarlo Chinnici, Katie and Ellie Dainton, one great great grandson Jack Sarver, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 9, 2020 at 11:00a.m.from The Parish of the Holy Cross St. Teresa of Avila Church 46 Central Ave. Bridgeton. Burial of the cremated remains will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery Rosenhayn. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Eleanor be made to the American Cancer Society 1818 Market St. Philadelphia, PA 19103.
