Douglas J. Helbach Jr's Obituary
Douglas J. Helbach Jr., 52, of Bridgeton, NJ passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ after a hard fought battle with declining health.
He was born September 15, 1972; the eldest son of Douglas J. Helbach Sr. and the late Susan K. Helbach (Perri).
Doug was a licensed barber and also a skilled mechanic and auto body technician. He loved doing body work, painting, building engines and various other work on both antique and newer style vehicles but held a special affinity for Hot Rods. Outside the garage he also loved to try his hand at making art, cooking and gardening. Doug enjoyed both drawing and painting on canvas or the opportunity to try new recipes using ingredients from his veggie garden. Family and close friends remember Doug as being both ornery and a comedian, he loved making memories with those closest to him, usually beside his best friend Frank.
However Doug’s ultimate pride and joy was his daughter Adalynne, he loved building legos with his daughter and spending time with her in any form, time, or place in addition to time spent with his niece and two nephews.
Doug’s memory is left to be cherished by his daughter Adalynne Helbach, his father Douglas J. Helbach Sr., his little brother Jonathan S. Helbach and his wife Christie, niece Sophia Helbach, his two nephews Dillon and Carter Helbach, and his best friend Frank amongst a host of additional aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Doug was predeceased by his mother, Susan K. Helbach, who was one of his closest confidants and biggest supporter. Together, may they rest in peace.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at the Sray- Webster Funeral Home, located on 62 Landis Ave. Bridgeton, NJ. The visitation period will begin at 10AM with memorial services following at 11AM.
