Dorothy M. Jeffreys' Obituary
Dorothy M. Jeffreys, of Glassboro,NJ passed away at the age of 86 after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday September 7, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter.
Born in Durham, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Dorothy (nee Perry) Bailey. She raised her children with her late husband Bruce Jeffreys Sr. in Philadelphia, PA until 1972 when they moved their family of 8 to Glassboro , where she lived her final days
Dorothy had worked for several years until her retirement as a Dietary Aide in the Pitman Manor. She enjoyed sewing and doing puzzles.
She is survived by her six children; Tonya Looney (Kevin Sr.), Bruce Jeffreys Jr., Janice Corsey (Wallace), David Jeffreys (Rana), Donna Jeffreys, and April Coombs (Gary) , her siblings; Alma Ford ( Stewart Tex Murphy), Annie Hinton, DeLois Battle, Catherine Herndon (Russell), and Frank Bailey, her grandchildren; Tonya (Tonnie) Looney, Kevin Looney Jr. (Dionne), Latoya Lattimor El (John), Porcia Jeffreys, Jasmine Johnson (Raymond), Taylor Coombs, Brianna Lockman, Sidney Corsey, Torin Jeffreys, Tristan Jeffreys, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Jean Bailey, and three brothers; George Bailey, Leonard Lee Bailey, and Willie Bailey (Dot).
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday September 17, at 12:00p.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. A viewing will be held from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. prior to the services. The interment will be in the Land of Canaan Cemetery, Glassboro.
