Dorothy Maul Hawley's Obituary
Dorothy Maul Hawley of Pittsgrove Twp, passed peacefully Wednesday morning in Eagleview Nursing Center under the care of Hospice. She was 103 years old. Born February 2,1919, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence Callahan Maul and the wife of the late William G. Hawley who passed away in 2006.
Dorothy grew up in the Salem area and remained there until she was 21 years of age. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was especially fond of ceramics and making Latch Hook Rugs. She also loved gardening, raising and nurturing flowers, and watching birds.
She is survived by her son William H. Hawley and his wife Jean of Bridgeton, her grandchildren, Tracey Gerber and her husband David of North Jersey, William C. Hawley and his husband Tony Pizur of Florida, two great grandsons, Matthew Gerber of Washington State, and Michael Gerber of New York, and a niece Kay Jean Stine of Georgia. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings; Bernice Maul, Ralph Maul, Harry “Hop”Maul, Russell Maul, Maude Dorn, Alice Dalbow, Pearl Slopey, and Arthur “Bill” Maul.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday January 10, 2023 12:00 pm at Sray-Webster Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment will take place in Cold Springs Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
