Doris A. Hughes , 93 of Stow Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Monday December 14, 2020 in Inspira Hospital Vineland after an extended illness. Doris was born October 30, 1927 in Bridgeton to the late William H. and Marion E Read Obituary
We have lived next door to Doris since 1973. She was a lovely person and a good neighbor. We will miss her. We still expect to see Doris in her yard or walking back and forth in her driveway for daily exercise. She always had a wave or a big smile if she saw us. Rest In Peace our dear neighbor. I have known Doris and Jean’s family, when a little girl. Their Mother and Father were sweet Christians, who opened their hearts and home to foster children in need of love, and safe haven. We grew together in the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, on Commerce St. A new body of believers who loved Reformed Doctrines. The memory of that family lives vividly in my heart. So does Doris and Jean. Jean, think of the wonderful reunion we will have when we are together in eternity! This is only a brief separation. You are loved and held up by many.
Cousin Bob and his family send their love, prayers and deepest sympathy to the family. We remember Doris with great fondness.
