Dora Palmer's Obituary
Dora Palmer, 91, of Bridgeton passed away on Tuesday afternoon May 27 , 2008 in the South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Inpatient Unit, after being admitted just one hour prior to.
Born in Pulaski, Georgia she was the daughter of the late Otis and Olivia nee Sherrod Sapp and the wife of the late Willie T. Palmer, who died in 2003. Mrs. Palmer was formerly employed with Owens Illinois for 29 years as a carton assembler. She also previously worked for Seabrook Brothers. Dora was a member of the Revival Fellowship Church in Bridgeton for over 30 years. She loved cooking and was always willing to do so for the entire neighborhood. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Surviving her are her three sons Arthur L. Thompson and his wife Catherine of Vineland, Willie L. Palmer of Bridgeton, and Randolph Palmer of Millville, two daughters Darlene Mack of Vineland, and Shirley Palmer of Millville, one brother Walter Sapp of Metter Georgia, two sisters, Inez Watts of Miami, Fla., and Bertha Proctor of Brunswick, Georgia, six grandchildren Arthur L. Thompson III, Melissa R. Mack, Willie Palmer Jr., Shalonda Palmer, Sharonda Palmer, and Randolph T. Palmer, six great grandchildren Tyasia Watson, Ziyon Holland, London Holland, Lavaugh Holland, Willie Leron Palmer and Sanyyah Mack, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased besides her parents and husband, by five sisters Leda Banks, Gertrude Lovette, Pearline Maddox, Louise Sapp, Mary S. Justice, and one brother Rollins Sapp.
