Donald P Ridgway's Obituary
Donald P Ridgway, 85, passed away suddenly Friday morning November 3, 2023 in Cumberland Manor where he had been a resident for the past three months. Born July 11,1938 in Cedarville, he was the son of the late Vincent and Anna (Durham) Ridgway, and the husband of the late Lucinda A Mosley Loatman Ridgway, and the late Julia E (Clarke) Ridgway who passed in February of this past year.
Donald worked as a Journeyman Operator at Wheaton Glass in Millville for many years until his retirement. He was a devoted long time member of the former Bridgeton Assembly of God Church where he served faithfully with the Royal Rangers, Men’s Ministries, and the annual church submarine sandwich sales. He was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was a former member of the Colonial Riders Motorcycle Club. Donald enjoyed nurturing and growing his garden and manicuring his yard. He also enjoyed breakfasts at the Golden Pigeon with fellow church members.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ridgway of Fairton, his stepchildren from his second marriage, Franklin Durham Jr, Eric Durham, Christopher Durham, Melvyn Durham, Brenda Durham, and Sherri Durham, his step grandchildren from his first marriage, Brian and Dwayne Durham, step granddaughter, Shaynya Durham, his Godson, Donald Cuff , special nephew and caregiver, David Ridgway, and special daughter, Michelle Hymer, and several nieces and nephews.
Donald was predeceased besides his two wives by two step children, Luther Loatman and Lucille L Durham, his siblings, Paul Ridgway, William Ridgway, Sarah Ridgway, Robert Ridgway, Lester Ridgway, David Ridgway, Mildred Pierce, and Shirley Cuff, nieces and nephews, Orwig Pierce Jr. , Michael Ridgway, Polly Cuff Tornari, and Lisa Cuff.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday November 11,2023 at 1:00 pm from the Sray-Webster Funeral Home. A viewing will be held from 12:00 till 1:00 pm prior to services. The interment will take place in Fordville Memorial Park , Fairfield Twp.
