Dionisia Echevarria's Obituary
Dionisia Echevarria, aged 86, a longtime resident of Minotola, NJ, was called to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 11th, at Jefferson Hospital.
Dionisia was born on October 27th, 1929 in Juanadia, Puerto Rico to Jesus and Felicita Cruz. She met and married Ismeal Echevarria, and in 1952, relocated with their two sons to Landisville NJ. She worked, briefly, as a seamstress before becoming a full-time homemaker, and selflessly,
dedicating her life to her 13 children. Dionisia was a devoted Christian and a member of Bridgeton Assembly of God, where she attended service, with her children, every Sunday.
She was, truly, beloved by her entire family and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them. She will be fondly remembered by her huge smile, jovial personality, caring heart, and kind soul and will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Dionisia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Edison "Moto" Echevarria, Sr., a daughter-in-law, LuAnn Echevarria, 1 granddaughter, 3 grandsons, 3 sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her loving family: sons Ismael "Junior" Echevarria, Lucas "Noel" Echevarria, Henry Echevarria and wife Evelyn Echevarria, and Edwin Echevarria; daughters, Nancy Echevarria, Gladys Echevarria, Eunice Rivera and husband Pablo Rivera, Daisy Echevarria, Evelyn Perez, Nellie Echevarria, Miriam Echevarria, and Socorro "Sukie" Ruiz and husband Carlos Ruiz; 33 grandkids, 44 great grandkids, and 9 great great grandkids.
Family and friends will be received at Bridgeton Assembly of God, 424 Indian Ave, Bridgeton NJ, 08302 on Sunday, May 15th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and again on Monday, May 16th, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 16th, at 10:00 am. The interment will be in Siloam Cemetery, 550 N. Valley Ave., Vineland, NJ.
