Delores Lemon's Obituary
Delores Eileen Lemon 81, of Bridgeton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon June 21, 2012 in South Jersey Healthcare Hospice Inpatient Unit, Bridgeton.
Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late William and Carrie nee Pierce Lloyd. Delores grew up in Greenwich, NJ and moved to Hopewell Twp in 1972. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Lemon Sr. who passed away in August 2006. Delores was employed with the Bridgeton Board of Education as a cook at the Bridgeton Junior High School from 1973 until her retirement in 1993. She was an excellent cook and baker, and as a memento she kept her "wooden spoons' which she used for making many servings of her famous "mashed potatoes". She loved and enjoyed her home, her flowers, and watching the Lawrence Welk Show on Saturday evenings. She is survived by her children Thomas A. Lemon Jr. Julia of Delaware, Patti E. Lemon-Thomas Ronnie of Bridgeton, Sandra P. Bowman Stephen of Vineland, and Neil W. Lemon Lorii of Galloway, NJ., her five grandchildren Lori, Stephen, Jerel, Sean, and Rhyan, and her three great grandchildren. Besides her husband Thomas, she was predeceased by a sister Phoebe Morgan.
