Deleatha Ellen Mosley's Obituary
Deleatha E. Mosley 77, of Fairfield Twp. passed away early Wednesday morning June 22, 2011 in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland, where she had been a patient for the past week.
Born in Salem, NJ she was the daughter of the late Elmer H. and Harriet nee Gould Saunders, and the wife of the late Walter E. Mosley Sr., who passed away in 2002. Mrs. Mosley and her late husband had been residents of Fairfield for many years, but she had also lived in Delaware, in her younger years. She had worked for several years in the local sewing factories including Major Clothing and Mark Manufacturing, which she retired from after several years of employment. She had also previously worked many years ago for Jersey Package. In her retirement she enjoyed babysitting in her home. She loved gardening, raising flowers, traveling on bus trips, but she especially enjoyed going out in the Delaware Bay and fishing with her late husband on their boat. Deleatha was a former member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Bridgeton, but more recently she had attended Haven United Methodist Church in Quinton. She was also a member of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape Tribe of Bridgeton. She loved her family, grandchildren and many friends. Surviving her are her four sons Walter E. Mosley Jr. of Fairfield Twp., Elmer H. Mosley and his wife Judith A.Mosley of Deerfield Twp., Kenneth W. Mosley and his wife Pascale Mosley of Vineland and Gary B. Mosley Sr. of Philadelphia, her two sisters Pauline Cole of Atlantic City, and Joyce Chambers of Philadelphia, her six grandchildren Kisha Renee Mosley, Walter Samuel Mosley, Brayton Randall Mosley, Jessica Eileen Mosley, Brittany Anastasia Brittingham, Alysha Nichole Mosley, and Gary B. Mosley Jr., four great grandchildren Andrew Kenneth Mosley, Bryce Brittingham, Jazmin Marie Mosley, and Janelle Mosley. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by four brothers Elmer Charles Saunders, Stanley Roosevelt Saunders, Herman Saunders, and Edward Saunders, three sisters Mary Hughes, Ida Hoggins, Margaret Pierce, and a granddaughter, Denise Ellen Mosley.
