David R.S. Garrison's Obituary
David R.S. Garrison, 79 of Upper Deerfield Twsp. died early Wednesday morning January 24, 2007 in South Jersey Regional Medical Center, Vineland. He had been a patient for one week.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late David R. and Agnes nee Kobrich Garrison and the husband of the late Ruth A. nee Walker Garrison, who passed away August 1, 2006.
Mr. Garrison was a lifelong area resident and had formerly been employed with the Charles L. VanMeter Oldsmobile dealership as a service manager. In 1963 he purchased a truck and became an owner-operator of his own business, logging millions of miles of driving until his retirement in 1992. He was well known for being able to fix just about anything that needed repair. He and his late wife enjoyed gardening, and trips to the Lancaster area.
He is survived by one son Thomas J. Garrison of Upper Deerfield Twsp. and one daughter Wendy G. Nichols and her husband Bruce E.Nichols, of Upper Deerfield Twsp., one brother Frank R. Garrison and his wife Joan of Upper Deerfield Twsp. and two grandchildren, Barbara E. Garrison and Jaime Nichols.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday January 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll?s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twsp. The Rev. Jeanette Block, pastor of Woodruff Untied Methodist Church will officiate. The interment will take place in the family plot at Woodruff Methodist Church Cemetery, Upper Deerfield Twsp.
Friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
