Darlene A. McPherson's Obituary
Darlene A. McPherson, 63, of Greenwich Twp., passed away suddenly and unexpected on Tuesday January 29, 2019 in Inspira Medical Center, Elmer. Born in Bridgeton, August 16, 1955, she was the daughter of Salvatore Marino, and the late Estelle (nee DeFrancisco) Marino.
Darlene had been an area resident all of her life and was a 1973 graduate of Bridgeton High School. After graduation, she pursued a career in nursing and obtained her nursing degree from Cumberland County Vocational School. She loved her job and was employed with the former Bridgeton Hospital for 30 years, and recently began working as a visiting nurse with Bayada. She enjoyed trips to the beach in Ocean City and spending time with her grandsons, Brayden and Sebastian. Her family laughed at how she loved to mow the lawn, she would say, “Gotta go, I gotta Mow”. She loved her family and was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by her father, Salvatore Marino of Bridgeton, her children, Robert “Bobby” McPherson of Bridgeton, Joseph McPherson and wife Kayla of Newport, Ann Marie McPherson and her fiancé David Ridgway of Greenwich Twp., her sisters, Denise Waller and husband Albert of Bridgeton, Margo Gutowski and husband Geary of Bridgeton, her grandsons, Brayden McPherson and Sebastian McPherson, nephews and nieces, Geary and wife Lisa, Brandon, Nicholas and “Whitney”, and several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased besides her mother Estelle, by her sister, Deborah Marino, who was a twin to Denise.
At Darlene’s request, funeral services were held privately by the family.
