Charles Murray's Obituary
Charles Murray, aged 65 years of Seabrook, passed away suddenly Monday December 22, 2014 in Inspira Medical Center, Elmer, where he was taken to the emergency room. His death was unexpected.
Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Henry and Rosa Mae (nee Burton) Murray, and the husband of Patricia (nee Hall) Murray.
Charles was raised in the Penns Grove area and was raised in the Word Church in Penns Grove. He was formerly employed with several trucking companies and lastly until his retirement with J.C. Leasing in Newfield. He loved driving truck and enjoyed the casinos in his free time. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and many friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 45 years, Patricia Murray, his two daughters, Mara Hall Telfair and her husband Bland of Seabrook, and Alice Hall and her husband David also of Seabrook, three sisters, Lola Mae Minner, Doris Murray, and Diane Smith, two brothers, Louis and Albert Murray, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and a host of various other relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Henry Murray and Joe Lewis Hayes, his sister, Essa Mae Green, and a grandchild David Silcott Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday January 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Greater St. Augustine A.M.E. of Zion Church, 410 North Pearl St. Bridgeton, NJ . The interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp. Friends may call on Friday morning at the church from 10:00 to 11:00a.m. prior to the services.
