Catherine Juanita Felmey's Obituary
Catherine Juanita (nee Cameron) Felmey, aged 92 years of Bridgeton, passed away on Tuesday evening March 8, 2016 in the Cumberland Manor.
Born in Passaic, NJ she was the daughter of the late Duncan A. and Helen Jane (nee Cassidy) Cameron, and the wife of the late William Felmey Sr.
Juanita moved to the Bridgeton area at an early age, and was a lifelong resident. She attended Bridgeton Public Schools and was a 1942 graduate of Bridgeton High School. In 1944 she married William Felmey and from that union had one son William Felmey Jr. In her life, she had many jobs including working for Yarnell and Co. and Reynolds and Co. both with the New York Stock Exchange, Rainear Dairy, the Bridgeton Board of Education for three years in the Vine Streeet School business office, Ashley McCormick, Cumberland Dairy, and Springer and Thomas from which she retired in 1991. She enjoyed going to the lunch programs in the Bridgeton Senior Center and especially loved helping deliver Meals on Wheels. She was also a long time member of The First United Methodist Church in Bridgeton.
She is survived by her son William and his wife Ann of Stow Creek, one granddaughter Stephanie F. Moore, two great grandchildren Corey I. Felmey and Alysha (Lisa) Moore, and several nieces, nephews and various relatives. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Jean Ann Smolens.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday morning at 11:00a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. The interment will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
