Carolyn O. Goodwin's Obituary
Carolyn O. Goodwin 59, of Fairfield Twp., died late Monday evening January 26, 2009 in South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center, Vineland. She had been a patient there for the past ten days.
Born in Hopewell Twp., NJ, she was the daughter of the late Hulley and Nina nee Barnes Goodwin. She had been a resident of the Bridgeton area all of her life. Carolyn was a loving and caring individual who was born disabled, although she never thought of her disability as a handicap, often telling friends that her mind was perfect it was her body that was disabled. She loved reading poetry and listening to music. She often attended and enjoyed the Special Olympics and was an advocate for the disabled in the Bridgton area. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness Bridgeton Congregation, and she loved to read her Bible. She was a former member of the Sunshine Club. Carolyn will truly be missed by many. Her family would like to extend their appreciation to all of Carolyn's neighbors, aides and friends who often assisted her so she could live independently. Thank You. Surviving her she leaves to cherish , two brothers Hulley Goodwin and his wife Marilyn of Fairfield Twp., Andrew Goodwin and his wife Barbara of Salem, five sisters Barbara Carpenter and her husband Cleo of Woodbury Heights, Mabel Bell and her husband Peter of Fairfield Twp., Rosemary Thompson of Bridgeton, Rebekah Money and her husband Danny of Fairifield Twp., Eileen Goodwin of Millville, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother Norris Goodwin and a sister Nina Goodwin.
