Carol A. Piper's Obituary
Carol A. Piper, 65 of Fairton, NJ died on Wednesday morning February 20, 2008 in South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Monday.
Born in Philadelphia , PA she was the daughter of Anna nee Shuhart Oakes and the late Vernon C. Oakes. She had been a resident of the Fairton area for the past 26 years. Carol was formerly employed with Henderson Aquatics in Millville, for over twenty years until her health failed. When she was younger she was very active in riding and showing American Quarter Horses and had taken many ribbons and awards. She loved country line dancing , and she enjoyed bicycling and spending time with her dog. Carol was a loving and devoted single mother who raised her two children alone since 1971. She loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving her are her mother Anna Oakes of Newfield, her two children Lee Piper of Wildwood, NJ and Sherry L. Piper of Fairton, one brother Richard Oakes and his wife Sylvia of Woolwich Twp., and one sister Alice Houseal and her husband Alexander E. Houseal Jr. of Evesham Twp., one granddaughter Lina Rose Piper, and several nieces and nephews
