Betty Jane Mosley Durham's Obituary
Betty Jane Mosley Durham, of Fairton, aged 83 years, passed away suddenly on Wednesday afternoon June 15, 2016 at her home. Although she had been in failing health for the past few months, her death was unexpected.
Born in Quinton, she was the daughter of the late Phillip H. and Beatrice C. (nee Durham) Mosley, and the wife of the late Jeremiah Durham. She and her late husband had been area residents most of their lives. Betty was a homemaker, and was well known along with her late husband Jerry for keeping an immaculate home, inside and out. She was formerly employed with Wheaton Glass in Millville, and the former Siebel & Stern Company in Bridgeton. She loved her family and enjoyed get togethers such as picnics and special occasions with them and friends. She is survived by a son, Jeremiah D. Moore and his wife Carmen of Fairton, a daughter, Betty Jane Gandy and her husband Vernon also of Fairton, two brothers; Raymond Mosley of Hopewell and Bruce Mosley of Clearwater, Florida, one sister; Patricia Hughes of Vineland, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three sisters; Barbara Moore, Carol Carney, and an infant sister Marylou Mosley, and six brothers; Phillip, Donald, Harold, Charles, Walden “Tony” and Gary Mosley. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday June 20, 2016 at 11:00a.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. The Rev. Jamie Bagley from Carll’s Corner Community Fellowship Church will officiate. The interment of cremated remains will take place privately in the Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery, Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received Monday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00a.m. prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Betty’s memory be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway Suite 480 Columbia, MD 21044.
