Barry S. Uhland Sr.'s Obituary
Barry S. Uhland Sr., aged 69 years of Bridgeton, passed away suddenly Monday November 26, 2018 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Although he had been in declining health, his death was unexpected. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Emil and Mary (nee Stephenson) Uhland.
Barry was employed with Southwoods State Prison for several years until his health declined. He was also formerly self employed, starting a business “Picture This” in his basement which later led to The Irongate Frame Shop, in Bridgeton, and previously worked at Owens and Minor in Bridgeton. He was a graduate of Wilmington College earning a degree in Business. He was also a proud veteran of the US Airforce. Barry was an exceptional athlete and loved basketball.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Bohn of Wyoming PA, and Barry Stephen Uhland Jr. of Wilmington, DE, a sister, Sue Uhland Gildea of Delaware, his grandson, Jacksen Uhland, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Lloyd and a sister, Judy Tuso.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday December 3, 2018 at 1:00p.m. from the SRAY-WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Monday. The interment will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton.
