Armola "Arnie" Armstrong's Obituary
With profound sadness, we mourn the passing of Arnie Armstrong on May 6, 2026 at the age of 87. Arnie was a man of strong character with a tender heart. He was born in Mineola, New York and his family settled in Delmont, New Jersey when he was a young a boy.
Although Arnie had an adventurous life and enjoyed traveling, he always returned home to his beloved family farm where, over the years, he raised all types of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and even honeybees. Arnie loved the simple things in life: long walks, a good western movie, horse racing, lively bluegrass music, admiring his flowers, and sweet treats. He never refused a doughnut or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Arnie’s greatest love was found in his wife Gloria, to whom he was married for over 35 years. Together, they raised their family and built a successful business selling funnel cakes and other delicacies in Wildwood. His children will be eternally grateful for the deep love, care, and compassion he always bestowed on their mother.
Gloria was a social butterfly; Arnie was more reserved. But, those lucky enough to know him appreciated that he always had memorable stories to tell, wisdom to impart, and guidance to share. He was a thoughtful man with much to offer.
Arnie is pre-deceased by his loving parents, James and Sadie Armstrong; his dear brother Mandro; and his beloved wife Gloria. He is survived by his cherished brothers, Ralon and Clifford; his beloved children, Nelson and Erica; his dear grandchildren; and his darling great-grandchild. He will be remembered fondly and dearly missed.
