Arlena M. Ridgway's Obituary
Arlena M. Ridgway, aged 70 years, passed away Christmas evening December 25, 2017 in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland.
Born at the family homestead in Fairfield Twp., she was the daughter of the late Percival Sr. and Florence M. Pierce, and the wife of the late William M. Ridgway.
Arlena was a seamstress, and had been employed with several sewing factories in the area including Val Mode, Rennoc’s, and her last employment with Santa’s Best in Millville. She loved Owls and was an avid collector. She was a quiet, loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who was always seen with a smile.
She is survived by her daughters: Tracey Ridgway Elliott and husband Bob, and Stephanie Ridgway, brothers and sisters: James Pierce and wife Bernetta, Percival Pierce and wife Darla, George Pierce and wife Rose, Nelson Pierce and wife Marlee, William Pierce and wife Robin, Louvica Gould and husband John, Jacqueline Dickerson, and Rodney Bailey, five grandchildren: Jami Ridgway, Jessica Ridgway, Skylar Ridgway, Robert Elliott, William Elliott, four great grandchildren: Aaliyah Nicholson, Terrell Harris Ridgway, Jerimiah Harris Ridgway, Jermaine Cannon, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her husband William, she was predeceased by her parents, grandparents Arabella and Lewis Pierce, and a sister Janet Pierce.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday January 3, 2018 from the Sray-Webster Funeral Home, 62 Landis Ave. at Carll’s Corner, Upper Deerfield Twp. at 11:30 a.m.. A viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
